D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy)
Sri Bhagwat Prasad Singh Memorial Institute of Higher Education provides the teaching & training facilities for students who opt for Diploma in Pharmacy. The examinations and the awarding of the Diploma for this particular course is carried out by the Board of Examining Authority constituted by the Govt.of Bihar. The entire teaching and training programme as well as the conduct of examinations etc., are in accordance with the Educational Regulations framed by the Pharmacy council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The course provides the minimum qualification to become a Registered Pharmacist in India and practice the profession of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is the regulatory body of Pharmacy education in India and only those institutes approved by the PCI under Section 12 (1) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 can offer the course.
The course provides the basic concepts of pharmaceutical sciences. The students will be exposed to learn various theoretical concepts, practical skills in the subjects of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Community Pharmacy and hospital pharmacy. The course study in Diploma in Pharmacy consists of two stages, part I and part II. There shall be examination in the first year on the subjects of part I and an examination in the second tear of the subject.
Eligibility Criteria for D.Pharma
For D. Pharma, the candidates should have passed the 10+2 exams or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board in any combination comprising P.C.M. or P.C.B. or P.C.M.B with atleast 50% marks.

Course Duration
The duration of the course shall be for two academic years with each academic year spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days
Attendance
80% attendance is made compulsory for each candidate in individual courses which includes both theory and practical classes separately. The candidate shall complete the prescribed course satisfactorily to be eligible to appear for the respective examinations.
